So we reward:

1) showing up on time

2) good oral hygiene (brushing and flossing)

3) cooperation with wearing elastics, an appliance, etc.

4) no loose brackets or bands.

So that no one feels left out, younger siblings get to pick something from our treasure chest:

We have monthly and semi-annual contests.

The monthly contest consists of answering our contest question.
Here’s an example:

Q. Which state has never had a temperature of zero degrees?

The winner receives a $25 WalMart gift certificate and is selected by random draw from all who answered the question correctly.

To encourage and reward good oral hygiene, we have a semi-annual contest.

Just have one of our Keep ‘em Clean Club certificates signed by your dentist or dental hygienist when you get your teeth cleaned.

The winner is determined by random draw and wins a DVD player. And, your dentist’s office gets treated to lunch at their next staff meeting—which makes you a very popular patient!
